According to the author's point of view,the most important aspect of vocabulary teaching for advance learner is that students accompolish independence.Student could deal this by Guided discovery,contextual guess work,and using dictinaries in order to discover meaning.
Guided discovery : Asking questions,offering examples,it helps learning and retention.
Contextual guess work : Making use of the context,guess from the word itself,word formation e.g prefixes and suffixes.
EFL dictionary : Understanding meaning,checking pronounciation,grammar of the word,different spelling,style and register as illustrate usage.

BalasHapusI will try to answer your questions.First why I interest with vocabulary skill is because from the vocabulary I started learning English, starting from the basics until later developing learning other aspects of English such as grammar, speaking, listening and reading. I think learning basic things will really help in the future in developing other skills.Second,My obstacle in learning vocabulary skills is myself, sometimes it is very difficult for myself to add vocabulary every day. In addition, the breadth and large number of vocabulary that must be understood are also other aspects of this barrier. However, if we can manage it and apply the word start and do, will be great of help.
